Object History: Acquired from a UK Auction House, previously collected in the 1990s. Collection of a deceased Japanese gentleman (1970-2010).
Object Literature: The Ming dynasty, that ruled China from 1368 to 1644 A.D , was famous for its fine ceramics and especially the cobalt blue-and-white porcelain.The major production center for porcelain was the imperial kilns at Jingdezhen in Jiangxi province.
