A Chinese Langyao type vase in the 18th century Kangxi style, the compressed body and cylindrical neck covered with a variegated crushed strawberry glaze thinning to a mushroom hue around the rim.
Good condition with the glaze stopping short of the roughly finished footrim and base.
Object literature: The word 'langyao' is derived from Lang Tingji, governor of Jiangxi province and supervisor of the imperial kilns from 1705 to 1712.
